Verify the processor and recipient
The checkout should identify who receives funds, the currency, total cost and refund or reversal conditions before any approval. A personal bank account, unrelated merchant name or request to continue in a messaging app is a serious warning. Never use a third party’s payment instrument to get around an account restriction.

Payment methods offer different protections
Bank transfers, cards, vouchers and digital assets differ in reversibility, fraud controls and proof of ownership. That comparison is general consumer information, not a recommendation to transact. Watch for escalating payment demands
A request for an extra tax, security deposit or verification payment before releasing funds can indicate advance-fee fraud. Pause, preserve the communication and verify the organisation through an independent channel. Sending more money to recover an earlier transfer often deepens the loss and should not be treated as routine processing.
- AQuestion release fees
- BVerify independently
- CDo not compound a loss
